EFCC Arraigns UNIBEN Undergraduate Over $12,000 Internet Scam [See Photo and details ]

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, October 30, 2014 arraigned an undergraduate of the University of Benin, Kenneth Rukewe Ebule before Justice E. F Ikponmwen of an Edo State High Court, sitting in Benin- City on a 6- count charge bordering on forgery, obtaining money by false pretence and possession of fraudulent documents.
The accused person allegedly duped Sabine Albert, a German, of the sum of $12, 088, 75 through fraudulent claims.
Rukewe, 30, a final year student of Computer and Statistics at the University of Benin, was arrested by officials of a new generation bank on May 28, 2014 in Benin City and handed over to the EFCC for further investigation.
Troubles started for him when Albert alleged that within two months after he had internet contact with him, Rukewe fraudulently obtained the sum of $12,088,75 (Twelve Thousand Eighty Eight Dollars and Seventy Five Cents) from him.
Rukewe allegedly posed to Albert as an English businessman on transit in Nigeria.
He gave his name as Bob Albert and told his victim that he had a contract with a Nigerian company worth €1.200, 000.00 and that he needed a loan to facilitate a transaction with the company.
He promised to pay back the loan and even doubled it because he was sure of pulling through the transactions.
He also told Albert that he had complications and suffered a robbery attack.
Rukewe also falsely told Albert that, a levy of of N1,975,861 (One Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy Five Thousand, Eight Hundred and Sixty One Naira only) was imposed on him by the Federal Inland Revenue Service for the release of his International Passport, and a cheque worth 1, 200,000 Euros.
He also pleaded for a flight ticket to London.
Based on all these, Albert offered to loan him the money by sending it through Western Union, only to discover that he had been scammed.
Investigation also revealed that the suspect had defrauded other German nationals to the tune of $110,975.00USD (One Hundred and Ten thousand, Nine Hundred and Seventy Five United States Dollars) between May 2013 and January 2014.
When the charges were read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty.
One of the charges read in part:
"Ebule Kenneth Rukewe (a.k.a. Bob Albert), on or about the 17th day of July, 2013 within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with Intent to defraud, obtained the sum of $12,088,75 (Twelve Thousand Eighty Eight Dollars and Seventy Five Cents) from Sabine Albert (a German National), under the false pretence that the money represented part payment of N1,975,861 (One Million Nine Hundred and Seventy Kobo) levy imposed one Bobby Albert (a British citizen) by Federal Inland Revenue Service for the release of the International Passport, Cheque worth 1,200,000 Euros and flight ticket to London of the said Bobby Albert, which representation you knew to be false".
In view of the plea of the defendant, prosecution counsel, Kayode Oni asked for a trial date and prayed the court to remand the defendant in prison custody.
The defence counsel, Maureen Morka informed the court of her application for bail dated September 9, 2014 and prayed the court to grant the defendant bail.
Justice Ikponmwen granted the defendant bail in the sum of One Million Naira and two sureties in like sum.
The sureties must be resident in Benin City and must be gainfully employed in Edo State. The defendant must also produce his student identity card.
Justice Ikponmwen subsequently adjourned the case to November 21, 2014 for hearing and ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody pending the perfection of his bail.

Chinedu Ubachukwu Wins Gulder Ultimate Search 11 (see full details here)

Twenty-four year old Chinedu Ubachukwu has emerged the winner of this year's edition of Gulder Ultimate Search. The Anambra state indigene thus became the 11th winner of Africa's first and longest running reality TV show.
To attain the feat, he edged out 28-year old Emmanuel Afolabi and 29 year-old Nne Cosy Joe. After more than three weeks in the jungle, only the three contestants survived the harsh weather conditions and the arduous tasks they were subjected to.

Their final task was to retrieve the great General's War helmet which according to folklore, had been hidden in the belly of the Aguleri Forest of Anambra State.

Incidentally, when the relatives of the final four contestants paid them a visit in the jungle two days earlier, it was only Chinedu's mother that urged him to return home as champion. Amidst tears, Mrs. Ubachukwu told her son "I know you will make me proud. Come home with the crown."
Incidentally, on the morning of the final search, both Emmanuel and Cosy Joe gave Chinedu their lanterns. They told him "this will light your path", oblivious of the fact that that his light would shine the brightest at the end of the day. Both Emmanuel and Cosy talked about reducing their load and they both decided to hand their lanterns to Chinedu.

For his feat, Chinedu will be rewarded with N10 million and a brand new SUV at a party fit only for royalty. Two other contestants will also receive brand new vehicles. They are Samantha Appi, who will drive home a brand new Ford Eco sport for emerging as the Last Woman Standing and the winner of the Viewers' Choice, who will go home with a Ford Focus.

The contestants that were evicted earlier in the show were: Otto Canon, Ikenna Emedike, Addoh Evi, Iroh Noella, Blessing Eriata, Loretta Erijakpor, Sandra Nwagbagiro, Samantha Appi, Sharon Robinson, Joshua Nwagboso and Iwuoha Ikenna.

22 yr old Lady Kills Man who tried to rape her in Lagos (Photo and details)

An unidentified suspected rapist has been killed in the Lekki area of Lagos State while attempting to rape a 22-year-old woman, Ifeoma Okechukwu.

It was learnt that the incident happened on Monday, around 12.30pm, in Atlantic View Estate, Alpha Beach Road, Lekki.

Punch learnt that Okechukwu was on her menstrual period and had gone out to buy sanitary pads.
The Imo State indigene was said to be on her way back home when she was accosted by the stranger.
She said,
"After buying the sanitary pads, I was going back home when I saw a man, who should be in his forties, standing at a corner. He approached me and ordered me to take him to my house."He put his hand into his pocket as if he wanted to bring out a weapon. He said he would kill me if I shouted.When we got to the house, he said I should shut the door and I did. He said I should remove my clothes; and I started begging him, but he refused to listen.So I told him to let me get to the kitchen because I was cooking something and I would be back. I got a rod and hid it in my wrapper. I went back and moved slowly towards him, still begging, but he refused.He was taking off his clothes and wearing a condom when I used the rod to hit him in the head. I started screaming. And then I picked the phone and called my uncle."
The victim's uncle, who pleaded anonymity, told Punch Metro that he went to report the matter at the Ilasan Police Station after learning what had happened.
He said,
"I was not at home when the incident happened and her younger brother had also gone out. So, she was alone in the house and it was possible he had been monitoring her movement.When she called me and said what had happened, I left the office and went to the police station in Jakande Estate where I reported the matter."A police source told our correspondent that investigators found a pack of condoms on the deceased, including a phone without a SIM card.
The source added that since the incident happened, no one had shown up to claim the man's corpse.
He said,
"He was about wearing the condom when the girl hit him on the head and he died. His mission was to rape her and steal from the house. He probably took advantage of her frail stature.We have got information that he was not alone. He belonged to a gang that has been terrorising Lekki residents for some time now. And that's why since this incident, nobody knows his name and address, and none of his relatives has come forward to say they know him.The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, promised to call our correspondent back, but he had yet to do so as of the time of filing this report.
Okechukwu was however said to have been arrested and detained in police custody.

Early life and music career
Ice Prince was born Panshak Henri Zamani in the city of Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. At age two, he moved with his family to the mining city of Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. While residing in Jos, he attended St. Murumba College, the same school that produced P-Square, footballer John Obi Mikel, and the Governor of Bauchi State Isa Yuguda, among others. 300level UNIBEN student killed on campus by gunmen (photo)

Ejiroghene Gbenidio A 300 level student of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences at the University of Benin in Edo state, (pictured above) was shot dead by unknown gunmen inside the Ugbowo campus of the school on Friday October 24th.

According to reports, Ejiro was attending the jeans carnival of the final year students of his faculty when he was accosted and shot in the head. He died instantly.

His body has been deposited at theBenin Teaching Hospital morgue. The matter is now being handled by the police at the Ugbowo Police station.

Some students say they suspect it might have been as a result of a fallout between rival cult groups.

Court Orders Man To Re-Marry Ex-wife he Infected With HIV/AIDS

A Shari'a court sitting at Sabon Gari, Kano, has ordered a middle-aged man to re-marry the wife he divorced after infecting her with the HIV/AIDS virus.
The man, Abdullahi Ahmad, was dragged to the court by his ex-wife, Umma Usman, who narrated how the defendant had sent her packing after infecting her with the virus.
She further told the court she had been married to Ahmad, who is her first husband, for about 13 years and that she bore him several children before she later discovered that he is HIV/AIDs positive. The court also heard that the defendant issued the hapless woman a divorce letter knowing fully well that he infected her with the disease.
She, therefore, asked the court to cancel the divorce issued to her by her husband and compel him to re-marry her since he is the one that infected her.
In his verdict, the Judge, Malam Farouk Ahmad, granted the complainant's plea, canceled the divorce issued to her by the husband and ordered him to immediately re-marry her.
Malam Ahmad said under Islamic Shari'a Law, it is binding on the husband to stay with the woman for the rest of his life being the one responsible for her getting an infection that has no known cure. He also ordered him to take good care of the woman henceforth, adding that the court will be monitoring how he relates with her in their matrimonial home from time to time to ensure that he does not maltreat her.

The Iranian court has hanged a woman convicted of murdering a man she said was trying to rape her.
The official IRNA news agency says Reyhaneh Jabbari was hanged at dawn Saturday for premeditated murder. It quoted the court ruling as rejecting the claim of attempted rape and saying all evidence proved that Jabbari had plotted to kill Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi, a former intelligence agent.
The court ruling says Jabbari, 27, stabbed Sarbandi in the back in 2007 after purchasing a knife two days earlier.
The execution was carried out after Sarbandi's family refused to pardon Jabbari or accept blood money.
The date of her execution has been repeatedly delayed but Jabbari's mother Shole Pakravan received a phone call on Friday telling her to visit her daughter in prison for the last time as she would be hanged on Saturday.
Amnesty International issued a failed last-ditch plea to the government to spare her life.

Fayose shuts down fuel station of Ekiti House speaker, others (see details here)

Governor Ayo Fayose yesterday October 22nd shut down a fuel station belonging to the Ekiti state House of Assembly speaker, Dr Adewale Omirin, and a few others saying that the fuel stations posed environmental hazard to where they were located.
Reacting to the closure of his filling station, the Speaker said the governor was only out to victimize him for not defecting from his political party, APC to the PDP which Fayose belongs to. Continue..
"Hon. Joseph Olugbemi had told me two days after the governor's inauguration that he (the governor) had made up his mind to close my filling station over refusal to join PDP. Olugbemi defected to PDP on the day Governor Fayose was inaugurated.I had earlier told the governor that in the interest of Ekiti people, the House of Assembly would work with him to deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of Ekiti State.
"I called the governor to confirm what the honorable member told me about the plan to close my filling station.He denied having such plans, swearing that he would not engage in victimization of his opponents.But only yesterday the governor ordered the closure of the filling station, citing environmental reasons," the Speaker explained.
But in a swift reaction, the Chief Press Secretary of Governor Fayose, Idowu Adelusi, dismissed the speakers claims, saying that the reason for closing the fuel stations was environmentally related
"What Omirin said is totally false, there is no iota of truth in it. The essence of closing down those petrol stations is to ensure sanity and safety in the state capital.While some petrol stations were sited on public properties or residential areas, everybody knows the danger it can cause if there is fire outbreak which had happened in some towns before, leading to loss of lives and property.Even in Lagos State, you cannot just site petrol station anyhow.Omirin should have nothing to fear, because the Governor has nothing against him."

Former Governor Fayemi Explains Why He ‘Bought Two Beds For N50m’ in the Government house

Former governor of Ekiti State, Kayode John Fayemi has explained why he built the multi-mullion naira controversial Government House in the state.
The governor has been under attack lately for lavishing funds on the government lodge.
His predecessor, Ayo Fayose had claimed that the governor bought two beds for N50 million naira.
However, Fayemi in a publication that showcased his achievements in Ekiti, explained why he embarked on the project.
He declared that ''The administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi in Ekiti State places much premium on infrastructure which it believes is a catalyst for modernizing the state.
"Infrastructural development is the second policy thrust of the 8-point agenda of the Fayemi administration otherwise known as the 'Roadmap to Ekiti Recovery'".
The publication reads thus: ''Desirous of being remembered for good by citizens of the State, the Fayemi administration conceived what it called 'Legacy Projects', bequeathed to the generations yet unborn.
''In conceiving the projects, the administration took cognizance of the need to execute projects that accord with the needs of the government and people of Ekiti and critically also, positively project the Land of Honour in the comity of states in Nigeria.
''Not ready to be encumbered by the meagre allocations from the Federation Account, as the state is 35th out of 36th on the nation's revenue ladder, the administration secured a N25 billion bond from the Capital Market.
''Upon accessing the first tranche of N20 billion, the administration immediately embarked on the mission to change the face of the state with the Legacy Projects which the new Government House is one of them."
According to Fayemi, ''Ekiti State has lived with the challenge of having a befitting Government House since the state was created on October 1, 1996. The first Military Administrator, as he was designated, Col. Inua Bawa (rtd), was holed-up in a borrowed apartment before building an official residence with bricks sourced from Ire-Ekiti Burnt Bricks Factory.
''Successive administrations since then made do with some buildings in the Government House complex, including the present abode of the state's number one citizen known as the Osuntokun Lodge. The fact that the Lodge lacked many facilities befitting of the residence of a governor and therefore "very inferior" to other Government Houses in the country, made the need for a new Government House in Ekiti very imperative.
''This inadequacy came even more to the fore at the death of the former Deputy Governor, Mrs. Funmilayo Olayinka, with guests pouring in from all over the country to commiserate with the government and people of the state on the monumental loss. To add to the state's sorrow, the governor could not receive two sets of guests at the same time.
''But that rather embarrassing experience has become history with the construction of the new Government House situated on the Ayoba Hills in Ado-Ekiti, the new edifice, like the biblical 'House on a Hill' can be seen from all parts of the city.
''While dismissing the claims of the opposition that the project is self-serving, Fayemi argued that the new Government House belongs to the people of Ekiti and not his personal property.
''He added that it would continue to serve as the official residence of all coming governors, long after he would have left office. The new Government House, will go down as an important statement of the New Ekiti that the Fayemi administration has always thought possible: It is an Ekiti State that plays second fiddle to none".....

Pastor Arrested For Snatching Cars At Gunpoint in Ilorin (see full details here)

A district pastor of a church in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has been remanded by a Lagos Magistrate's Court sitting in Ikeja.The 37-year-old pastor, Adebambo Adetunji, was alleged to be one of the gang members, who robbed motorists at the Ojota Bus stop, between April and July, 2014.
Punch learnt that Adetunji and other suspects, who were still on the run, were notorious for snatching cars and robbing victims of their valuables at gun point.
They also gathered that a Toyota Camry and a Mercedes Benz ML320 , were diverted by the suspected robbers, who were said to have also used cutlasses in their operations.
It was learnt that Adetunji was arrested by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad led by SP Abba Kyari after Badmus had reported the attack to the police.
The prosecutor, brought the suspect, before the Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Oshodi, on three counts bordering on armed robbery.The charges read in part,
"That you, Adebambo Adetunji and others now at large, on April 30, 2014 at about 10.30pm at Ojota Bus stop in the Lagos Magisterial District while armed with guns and cutlasses did rob one Mercedes Benz Jeep ML320 with registration number LND 623 BF valued N1, 850,000, IPad valued N80,000, Blackberry Bold 5 valued N30,000, Nokia E5 valued N26,000 and cash sum of N250,000 total value N2,236,000 property of one Boniface Joseph.
"That you, and others now at large on July 6, 2014 at about 5.30pm at Ojota Bus stop in the aforementioned magisterial district did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit; armed robbery.
"That you and others now at large on the same date, time and place in the aforesaid magisterial district while armed with guns and cutlasses did rob one Toyota Camry 2008 model with registration number MUS 413 BH valued N2.3m property of one Oluwatoyin Badmus." Adetunji, who was clad in Ankara, burst into tears on hearing the charges.

An 11 year old girl was gang-raped in Obowo local council area of Imo State.The ugly incident happened when the girl known as Ngozi (surname withheld) was sent by her parents to buy a few of their food needs from the popular Onuimo Rescue Market, Umungwa, Obowo.

Vanguard was also told that in a bid to quickly deliver on her parent’s assignment, the girl decided to take a commercial motorcycle to and from the market.

“That was how she boarded the motorcycle piloted by 35-year old Onyekachi Nwankwo, a native of Umunachi, Obowo”, the girl’s father (names withheld) recounted with grief.

The obviously angry father also recalled that soon after Onyekachi picked Ngozi at the entrance of the market, he told the girl that he intended to pick his friend, Chike Njoku, who was waiting for him at the time, at Ekeja Market in Ehume, Obowo.

“My daughter innocently agreed. The story suddenly changed when Onyekachi picked his friend veered off the road into a track leading to the boundary river between Umunachi and Umuagu communities in Obowo.

The traumatized girl recalled that:

“When I saw the weapons they were holding, I had no option than to follow them. They parked the motorcycle inside the bush, pulled off my dress and had s-ex with me, one after the other. They left me to my fate thereafter”.

Woman kidnaps and kills stepdaughter in Lagos then buries her in soakaway (Photo)

The police in Lagos have arrested a woman, Aminat Akanni, for allegedly abducting two of her stepchildren and murdering one of them because she claimed her husband refused to provide Sallah clothes for her own son.

The suspect killed one of the kids, Nofisat, by pushing her into a soakaway.Aminat was arrested by the police at CMS Bus Stop, Lagos Island, on October 9.

Prior to the arrest, seven-year-old Lateef and four-year-old Nofisat had been declared missing on Friday, October 3- a day to the Sallah celebration.It was learnt that the father of the missing children, Moshood Mubo, who is also the suspect’s husband, had raised the alarm and reported the case to the Adeniji Adele Police Division on Friday, October 3.

However, after the suspect’s arrest, she confessed to have abducted the two kids from Church Street, Lagos Island where they lived.She further confessed to have also killed the younger, child, Nofisat, by pushing her into soakaway beside a mosque in the Orile area.

Our correspondent gathered that Lateef and Nofisat were pupils in Primary 1 and Nursery 2 classes respectively in a private school.

Speaking with PUNCH Metro on Sunday, Moshood who hails from Ilorin, Kwara State, said his second wife, who he rented an apartment for in the Orile area, abducted the kids claiming that she wanted to “punish him for not buying Sallah clothes for her own son.”

He said,

 “I married Aminat in 2010. In order to avoid a crisis at home, I rented an apartment for her at Mosalashi Street, Alakara in Orile. She has only one son for me. His name is Yusuf. She does not come to Church Street, Lagos Island where I live with my first wife.
“What happened was that on the evening of Friday, October 3, when I returned from work- just a day to the Sallah celebrations- I sent the two children to go buy biscuits in front of the street. That was around 7pm. We expected them till around 9pm. I was shocked. I quickly rushed to the Adeniji Adele Police Division, and reported the incident.

“Believe me, I and their mother, Funmilayo, could not sleep all through that night. We were walking around throughout the night from one police division to the other, repeating the same thing. The whole Sallah celebration was a sad one as I looked for my two children. Little did I know that it was my second wife who sneaked into our area to abduct them.”

Moshood, who spoke to our correspondent while fighting back tears, added that Aminat had called him the following day, and made a suspicious comment.He said,

 “The following morning, around 11am, Aminat called me and heard me crying on the phone. I told her that we were looking for Lateef and Nofisat, she simply said, ‘All I know is that no one can kidnap my own son.’ I was shocked at her statement, but I never thought she was the one behind the whole trouble.
“It was six days later when the police arrested her that she then confessed that she committed the act because she claimed I was not taking care of her, and I had not bought sallah clothes for her son, which is not true. She had sneaked to our area, and asked the two kids to follow her to Orile. This is unimaginable for me.”

As the search for the two children continued, which took Mubo and his first wife to travel to Ilorin, Kwara State to consult their relatives and get ‘spiritual help’, a friend had called them on Thursday, October 9, that she saw Lateef with Akanni around the CMS Bus Stop, Lagos Island. The police were then invited who trailed her movement and arrested her.

The mother of the two children, Funmilayo, told Punch that Aminat had bottled up grievances against her for a long time.She said,

 “Aminat killed my daughter. She made us to have a sorrowful Sallah. We were running around police stations. She said she wanted to punish me and my husband because she was having issues with us. So, why did she not come after us, why after my two children?”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident, adding that Aminat was now in police custody.

He said, 

“Aminat Akanni is the second wife of the complainant. Investigation revealed that the corpse of Nofisat was recovered by the Orile Division in a sudden and unnatural death.The suspect confessed to have drowned the child and dropped the corpse at Orile. The case has now been transferred to the Orile Division for further synchronisation and action.”

Over 4000 students of the Nigeria Law School have decried the mass failure at the Bar examinations. The students who paid over N300, 000 for the one year programme lamented that over 70 per cent of them failed the examination, that is a prerequisite for them to be called to Bar.

The students blamed their failure on the Director General of Nigerian Law School, Olarenwaju Adesola Onadeko. They claimed that Onadeko wants to destroy their career by failing them en masse. The students called for a review of the examination as well as their results.
Some of the students who sent text messages and email to PM News explained that some lecturers also want the results to be reviewed. “Save Law School Students: The DG Olarenwaju Onadeko has come to destroy the future of over 70 per cent of students who wrote exams in August and has run to the United Kingdom to seek solace,” a text message read.
Having endured long academic strike while in school some of the students who had spent over seven years in tertiary institutions before they could attend Law School accused the DG of marking them down on purpose. “#Please save the future of 5000 law school student, so that the results may be reviewed because some lecturers are in support of this movement as they know the DG asked for a lot of scripts to be marked down. Please this is the least you can do,” another text read.
Another student said: “the mass failure at the Nigerian Law School is an insult to the legal system. Kindly help address this issue by calling the attention of authorities that matters; while another simply read: “#Please save the future of 5000 law school students”.
“We the law students of Nigerian Law School protest the poor handling and marking of our Bar 2 final exam. Please we need the media to come to our aid,” an email read.
“The Nigerian Law School released the 2013/2014 August result. It was a Tsunami! Out of 6000 candidates who registered, about #2172 passed. We are talking of about #4000 students who failed”.
Another student then pointed out the financial implication of going to the Law School. “Do we say 4000 students paid N300,000 not counting expenses for one year, feeding, books, then prepared to FAIL?
At the time of filing this report, our correspondent was unable to reach the DG or any member of management.

  29 year old Emily Setlhapelo met her untimely death yesterday, Saturday October 11th.
According to her family who are still in shock, Emily went to ease herself, and she walked to the side of the road to pee, only to never come back.

 The mother of two who resides in Klipspruit in Soweto, South Africa was electrocuted before help could arrive.

Her mother, Julia Setlhapelo, told South Africa's Daily Sun that Emily was on her way to her cousin's house with her two children and a friend when she could no longer keep her pee inside.

She walked to the side and hid behind a bush to relieve herself.

However, she did not see the electricity wires running through the area.

"She lowered her underwear, and as soon as she started to pee the electricity hit her," Julia said.

Emily's children called out to her, but there was total silence.

"It is one thing when a loved one dies of a disease, but sudden death is the most difficult to accept," Julia said.

"Emily was a happy person and a party animal who loved to drink. However, she was always respectful to her elders," she added.

It was not the maker's fault to discipline man but the deviation of man led to the sanction,man had to pay although he shows mercy for those who are willing to turn to him for a ticket which will make them to dwell with in his everlasting kingdom.
     
                
                      He gave man freewill but he squandered the opportunity now he has reduced the freewill for the benefit of all yet man rebuffed the propensity to be loyal to the supreme being. What I have noticed is that,if we try to do things we would see that it will end in reference to God hence,man cannot extricate from his maker. I hope man will realise that the journey is not for one man but he needs to permit his maker's intervention.

Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has faulted the claim by Lagos lawyer and rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) that residents in the state were going on self-exile because of his forthcoming inauguration as governor. Fayose will formally take over affairs of the state on October 16, 2014.

He described the claim by the Senior Advocate of Nigeria as "irrational, bunkum and baseless", the governor-elect, who spoke through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, said only those with skeletons in their closet were leaving the state.

Falana in an interview published on Tuesday had claimed that people, including some of his friends and businesses were relocating from Ekiti because they were afraid of what would happen to them after Fayose's inauguration as governor.
Adelusi wondered how the rights activist, who hails from the state, came about such claims, noting that the overwhelming people of Ekiti State that voted Fayose as their governor on June 21, this year, were eagerly awaiting his inauguration as governor.

He said, "Ekiti people who elected Fayose and preferred him over and above Falana's lackey, are waiting for his coming and for the four years he will lead the state. We know for sure that as our Lord lives that expectation will not be cut short.

"Ekiti is as peaceful as any other state, it is people like Falana who are beating the drum of war and propaganda and are having nightmares in which they are the only ones seeing their own Ekiti in trouble, while the reality is that Ekiti is moving into a golden era.
"Those causing trouble in the state in the last two weeks are leaders of the All Progressives Congress and their thugs. If people like Jaruu and Apase, who have murder cases hanging on their necks, are leaving the state, security agencies know how to handle their cases.
"If trouble makers and people that the Bible calls 'the troublers of Israel' are relocating, then, it is good riddance to bad rubbish. If those who have looted the state's treasury and are afraid of probe are relocating, they should know that the long arm of the law will catch up with them.
"It is common sense that it is only the guilty that are afraid. Anybody who does not have any skeleton in his cupboard will not be running helter skelter when nobody is pursuing him".
Adelusi pointed out that "Falana and his cohorts" should know that they were not better than thousands of Ekiti teachers, artisans, bike riders, businessmen, council workers, professionals and others who cast their votes for Fayose in the June 21 election.
He, therefore, urged the people of Ekiti and Nigerians at large to take Falana's claims and others that could still be fabricated, with a pinch of salt.
"The good people of Ekiti and Nigerians do not need to exert pressure on just a cell in their brains to think about such claims.
"They have better things to think about. We only hope APC and its sympathisers will come back from their dream land and face the reality on ground", he added.

An Indiana anesthesiologist shot dead his wife minutes after the last guest left their wedding party early on Sunday morning. This happened after an alleged alcohol fueled argument over a pre-nuptial agreement .

Dr. George 'Scott' Samson, 54, is said to have told his new wife, Kelly Ecker, 50, that she would 'never get her hands on his money' during the wedding reception .

According to witnesses who spoke to Dailymail, the argument became increasingly bitter when the wedding after-party moved to Samson and Ecker's mansion, with guests deciding to leave at 1.17am on Sunday morning as the fighting escalated.
Kelly made a frantic 911 call around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning pleading for help. "He's beating the shit out of me," Kelly told the operator. "Who is?," the operator asked. "My husband." The call ended and moments later Kelly called back. "Help," she pleaded. "Oh, my God. He's going to kill me." Multiple gun shots can be heard as the call ended.
When police arrived, he had shot himself. They both worked at the same hospital where she was a nurse.

A Footage of a pastor caught with a young woman in a hotel room has caused controversy in Kenya.
The pastor is said to have been found in bed with a woman believed to be his church member. The man claiming to be the woman's husband rained blows on her as shocked residents watched.
But who was behind the video, and many others just like it?
The film looks like an episode of Cheaters, the American TV programme in which a television crew tracks down unfaithful partners and catches them red-handed - with the cameras rolling of course.
It was broadcast on a news programme in Kenya, and appears to show Anglican pastor Charles Githinji half dressed in a hotel room with a pretty young woman. Another man, claiming to be the woman's husband, bursts into the room with a television crew in tow.
The sheepish pastor scrambles for his clothes, but not before being quizzed by the people behind the camera. Kenyans began tweeting about the story using the hashtag #PantsDown. The phrase has appeared more than 2,500 times in the last few days, though not every instance was related to the pastor's story.
It was not an isolated incident. Similar videos on YouTube - all of which appear to expose Kenyan pastors in similar situations - have racked up hundreds of thousands of views.
In Githinji's case, some are convinced that a team of people collude in an attempt to entrap the pastor, and make money from the footage. "It was stage managed," says Jackson Njeru, a prominent Kenyan blogger who created the controversial Facebook pageDeadbeat Kenya. "When I watched the video, something was not adding up. The lady was smiling. She was laughing," he tells BBC Trending. He believes the woman, her "husband" and the television crew were working in collaboration - one of a number of groups that deliberately target pastors and other powerful individuals.
Ruth Nesoba, a BBC journalist based in Kenya, says "apparently what is emerging is a clique of freelance cameramen who are going round looking for these kind of stories." News outlets pay good money for the footage, she adds, as the stories attract wide audiences.
It isn't yet clear whether Githinji's encounter with the woman arose organically, or he was targeted in a sting operation. Either way, Nesoba thinks that for many Kenyans, it isn't the most important question. "People are asking: 'Whether he was lured or not, what is a pastor doing in bed with his pants down with a woman who is not is wife?' "
The Anglican Church in Kenya has now launched an official investigation.
