Funke Akindele Threatens To Sue Blogger Linda Ikeji (click to see full details)
on January 25, titled, Did Funke Akindele shade Toyin Aimakhu last night?
In the post, Linda Ikeji suggested that an Instagram picture on Funke Akindele's page was intended as a slight on fellow actress, Toyin Aimakhu, who was recently rumoured to have separated from her husband, Adeniyi Johnson.
According to Linda Ikeji, the two actresses had previously fallen out and Toyin Aimakhu had "shaded" Funke Akindele over the latter's 2014 divorce.
Funke Akindele, through her management, said thanks to Linda Ikeji's blog post, she was exposed to "cynical comments and hasty judgements".
"(The post has portrayed) Funke Akindele's brand in bad light," her management said. "It has promoted unhealthy rivalry where there is none."
Ms. Akindele's lawyer, in a seven paragraph letter made available to PREMIUM TIMES said the post was "borne out of pure malice for our client who has carved an inch (sic) for herself in the entertainment industry whilst also inciting hatred between our client and Toyin Aimakhu on one hand and our client and her fans on the other hand."
Linda Ikeji was subsequently advised to remove the post, offer a retraction and make available a link to Ms. Akindeke's team.
Linda Ikeji could not be reached to comment for this story. Calls to the number listed on her website were unanswered.

Johnson have parted ways!
Insiders allege that the couple have been living apart for over
three months but have been trying to hide it from the
press..Inside sources say that that Toyin and Adeniyi broke up
due to infidelity,which had eaten deep into their marriage.
My source alleges that Toyin used evidence from snooping on
her hubby's phone and caught darling husband red handed in
hotel rooms several times with different girls...Infact my source
quotes the number of times as almost ''300 times red
handed''.
The couple have both moved out of their apartment in Lekki
and have both moved on but pretending to be still together.....
Only their close friends are aware of their split and the insiders
allege that a
reconciliation might not be possible because of the ease with
which both walked out and have indicated that that they do not
wish to be together.
Adeniyi currently has his facebook status as seperated....that is
if he hasnt changed it.
Another source whispers that concerning both ''when there is
no respect in a marriage,when couples talk to each other

Toyin and Adeniyi had a low key traditional wedding in Ibadan
in February 2013 and on July 8 2013 they signed the dotted
lines at the Ikoyi registry.
Their wedding was a celebrated affair on the internet and in
the print media.
Toyin and Niyi had no child together before they parted ways.

Scores Injured, Vehicles Vandalized As PDP Thugs Attacks Ambode’s Campaign
No fewer than ten vehicles were said to have been vandalised during the attack while one person was allegedly killed and five others wounded.
Two of the victims are said to be lying critically ill in a private hospital as a result of the injuries sustained during the attack.
It was gathered that supporters of the APC governorship candidate were distributing sourvenirs to residents during a neighbourhood to neighbourhood campaign rally when the PDP members who were passing by in their vehicles suddenly confronted them and started shooting sporadically.
A resident who was holding one of the APC sourvenirs was said to have been shot dead while panicky residents run for their dear life.
An impeccable source who spoke in confidence said: "The APC members had embarked on a peaceful rally to solicit support for their candidates in the coming election when they were attacked by PDP supporters who were also passing by.As a matter of fact, the PDP supporters who were heading towards Iyana Ipaja in their vehicles suddenly turned back and ran after the APC supporters.
"Before we knew what was happening, the PDP thugs opened fire on the APC campaigners leading to the death of an innocent resident while about five persons were injured; two of the victims are now in critical condition. Ten vehicles were vandalized while those injured have been taken to a hospital."
One of Adewale's aides, Mr Tosin Odunsi, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent, said the APC supporters actually ignited the confrontation before Adewale's supporters retaliated.
"I was at the scene of the incident and no life was lost. We were actually returning from a campaign rally organized for our governorship candidate, Mr Jimi Agbaje, when we ran into some APC supporters at Boys Town area of Mosan Okunola and they were making a mockery of our party. My boss (Adewale) who was riding in one of the vehicles in our convoy asked us not to confront the APC supporters. However, our supporters retaliated when the APC supporters started shooting sporadically. So, our people did not attack APC members but we retaliated in self-defence. If you must know, our campaign office in Iyana Ipaja was destroyed by APC supporters about two days ago.

Governor Ayo Fayose warns APC and Gen.Buhari over attack on President Jonathan
The governor said; "We will no longer tolerate any orhestrated attack on Pesident Jonathan and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party anywhere in the country."
Governor Fayose , who spoke through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said President Jonathan's humility and silence of must not be taken for granted.
He said Buhari should not allow desperation for power to lead him into throwing the north into another orgy of electoral violence as he did when he lost the 2011 presidential election.
Governor Fayose said; "Having signed a pact to maintain peace before, during and after the elections, it was expected that Buhari would talk to his blood thirsty supporters to let peace reign.
"However, the orchestrated attacks on the campaign train of the president in Katsina and Bauchi States have shown that APC is not a party of peace and we are warning strongly that they must not put Nigeria on the spot.
"Most importantly, Buhari and his APC should tell us in plain language if what they want is to dismember this country, because nobody has monopoly of violence.
"They must stop taking the gentility and civility of President Jonathan as weakness because an attack on the President of a nation is an attack on the country and Buhari should know that he will never be President of Nigeria by intimidation and blood-letting.
"The APC candidate should therefore talk to his blood - thirsty supporters in the North to stop attacking the president, else they risk reprisal attacks from Nigerians in other parts of the country."

the military and that was why he was allowed to contest in 2007. Buhari cannot listen to anyone about his certificates because as a General of Nigeria Army, he will speak when he chooses, not by Femi Fani Kayode and Okupe asking him. Fayose and other corrupt people including Kashamu do
not want Buhari because of his anti-corruption slogan. "Even Jonathan did not finish his PhD course but when

Buhari and whoever forged that certificate needs to be flogged --- Sammy Okposo
One of such celebrities is popular Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo, who in his opinion thinks Gen. Buhari's WAEC certificate is forged and says some things don't add up.
Okposo pointed out that some subjects supposedly written by the former Head of State weren't in the WAEC curriculum in 1961 - the year Buhari claimed he wrote his senior school certificate exams.
It is evident that the award-winning gospel singer is a strong supporter of President Jonathan who is contesting for a second term under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
To show his support for Jonathan, he wrote earlier:
"Positive and meaningful change means moving/going forward not 32 years backwards"
Here is opinion on Buhari's WAEC certificate:
"From perjury to forgery: Buhari or whoever forged that certificate needs to be flogged. Prior to the formation of a central govt by Gowon, all regions had separate curriculums.
Only the western region offered a local language in both their curriculum and WASC! It was after a central govt was formed and a universal educational curriculum was developed and adopted which included other local languages in 1974! So which WASC did Buhari write in 1961 that included Hausa?

A Newborn Baby found Beside Gutter In Kaduna (photo)
A passerby, who gave his name as Sani, said he was passing when he saw a moving object wrapped in a cloth and called the attention of those selling fruit items to the scene and it was discovered to be an abandoned newborn.
The news drew the attention of many, including motorists, who parked their cars to see how wicked human beings could be, conceiving and delivering successfully and still had the heart to abandon the baby after delivery.
A woman who also came around the scene could not hide her emotions as she cried profusely upon sighting the new born baby, saying, "see how wicked people can be, some people are crying and praying for children, yet God has given to this wicked woman and she still have the heart to do this, may God forgive her" she prayed.
But for others rained curses as some of them who spoke in Hausa where heard saying, 'Allah sine mata' meaning 'may God curse her.
It took the courage of a female journalists working with Core Television, who hurriedly picked up the baby boy whose umbilical cord was still intact from where he was abandoned, and another woman who volunteered her veil with which the boy was wrapped.
At the time of filing the report, the abandoned baby was in the custody of the police at a nearby police station for further investigations.

Finally Government College Katsina Releases Buhari’s Academic Credentials (see it here)
PREMIUM TIMES obtained copies of the records, including Buhari's secondary school results, and confirmed that the military duly noted that Mr. Buhari obtained the requisite WASC qualifications.
It also obtained and published a print out from the University of Cambridge.
In a story last night, SaharaReporters reported that while Nigerian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Olajide Laleye was addressing a press conference on Tuesday to announce that the army could not find the general's school leaving certificate in its records.
Premium Times sources also confirmed that while Laleye was addressing the media, the Department of Military Secretary had despatched to Buhari his academic records, which had been requested by the retired general.

I only consented to address you this morning because of the genuine concern expressed by many supporters and other well-meaning Nigerians that the issue be addressed.
Otherwise, I would have dismissed it for what it is—sheer mischief and would not have considered it an issue worth the nation's while.
I had assumed all along that all my records were in the custody of the Military Secretary of the Nigerian Army. Much to my surprise, we are now told that although a record of the result is available, there are no copies of the certificates in my personal file.
This is why I formally requested my old school the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina [which is now known as Government College, Katsina] to make available the school's copy of the result of the Cambridge/West African School Certificate.
This will be made available to the press the moment this is available.
However, before we obtain that, let me say for the record that I attended Provincial Secondary School, Katsina.
I graduated in 1961 with many prominent Nigerians, including General Shehu Yar'adua, former chief of staff at the Supreme Headquarters, and Justice Umaru Abdullahi, a former President of the Court of Appeal.
We sat for the University of Cambridge/WASC Examination together in 1961, the year we graduated.
My examination number was 8280002, and I passed the examination in the Second Division.
And although the ruling party may want to wish this away, the issue in this campaign cannot be my certificate which I obtained 53 years ago.
The issues are the scandalous level of unemployment of millions of our young people, the state of insecurity, the pervasive official corruption which has impoverished our people and the lack of concern of the government for anything other than the retention of power at all costs.

Woman Sells Neighbours Child For N250,000 In Delta State
Reports said that the woman, who is currently helping the police and cooling off her heels at the state's police, CID, Asaba, was said to have arranged for the sale of the baby with a woman who was said to have been married for 18 years without a child in Lagos before the bubble burst.
It was reliably gathered that a trusted neighbour had last Wednesday appealed to Eunice to help look after the baby to enable her buy some food items in a neighbouring community's market.
Eunice, however, put a call across to the said buyer (now at large).
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, who confirmed the arrest of the woman, disclosed that the suspect had disappeared after selling the baby.
DSP Kalu said that the police, acting on a tip-off and relying on neighbours who sighted the woman while the deal lasted, swung into action and arrested the woman in Ore Community where she was lodged in hotel.

According to a family source who spoke exclusively with LIB, Abazi was alone in his room in the morning when the fire started, while his wife and kids were in the family sitting. They said he was an agile man but got burnt to ashes in the fire. No one knows the cause of the fire and family sources claim it was only his room that got burnt down.

Trouble, however, reared its ugly head when he woke up the next morning to discover the lifeless body of his lover.
"We have been lovers for more than two years, but we had to end the relationship because of her health condition. She is hypertensive.
"But we met during the carnival in Badagry and we discussed. We spent time together and had a lot of fun together at the carnival.
"Like school children, the old flame was rekindled and we decided to continue the affair. She agreed to spend the night at my place. By the time I woke up in the morning, I tried to wake her up, but she did not move; her body had already become lifeless and stiff. I was alarmed and alerted my neighbours.
"They said this was beyond them and that the police needs to be involved. That was how the police was contracted. I did not kill her.
"We were lovers. She came to my house on January 2 at about 8.30pm. When we came back from the carnival, we had just one round of sex, after which we both slept on the bed, and there was no problem.
"I am not responsible for her death. She was hypertensive and it might be her condition that caused her sudden death. I work as an 'okada' rider. I am married and have one child, but my wife does not stay with me," Doheto narrated.
The case, which was initially reported at the Badagry Divisional Police, is currently being investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba, Lagos

Girl dies a week after ex-boyfriend married her best friend
Politician and multimillionaire businessman, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, who represents Imo West Constituency in the Senate, on Saturday, January 3, married a 25-year-old girl in Owerri. The 63-year-old senator's new wife who according to reports is named Chioma Ikeaka, was the best friend of late Amara Anosike.
Reports say "Amara used to date Sen. Hope Uzodinma. After hearing the news that he married one of her best friends, Amara fell ill and just died a few days ago. She was vomiting blood on the day she died and was buried yesterday."
Choima Ikeaka, a graduate of law from the Imo State University, came to Abuja to attend Law School and was introduced to the senator by her friend Amara. It was alleged that Chioma and the senator started seeing each other and quietly got married in Owerri a week ago

Wicked Mother Kills Her Day Old Baby (photos)
Otu did it so that she would be free to live her life as she pleases and avoid the maternal responsibility of caring for the baby. The horrific act was committed on December 22, 2014 in Enohia Nkalu Afikpo North Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
Ordinarily, the safe delivery of the innocent baby would have been considered a welcome Christmas gift from God in the home of any of the uncountable number of women, who are eager to experience the joy of motherhood, but cannot do so either through natural conception or IVF and are therefore compelled to go to lengths to adopt babies they lovingly nurture and raise as their own. But this mother from hell chose the route of infamy as the devil egged her on and she killed the baby, put her dead body in a black polyethylene bag and dumped it in a bush near Ndibe beach road in her area.
As Sunday Sun learnt from the Ebonyi State Police Commissioner, Maigari Dikko, nemesis caught up with her when neighbours began asking her about the baby.
Realising that providence had put the spot light on her secret, Out confessed her evil deed and took the people to the where she dumped the baby. Shocked youths in the community then trooped to a nearby a police station to report the matter and she was arrested.
At the headquarters of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Ebonyi State Police Command, where she is being held, Otu spoke with Sunday Sun.
Showing no remorse, Otu said: "I killed my one-day old baby girl intentionally because I don't have N500 for her medical treatment. I want to be free lady. I didn't have any intention to get pregnant. I was impregnated by one man called Monday, a native of Ozizza Afikpo North LGA. But later he refused to accept the pregnancy and I didn't plan for it. I am not ready to marry; I want to be a free lady. I had to strangle the baby girl and put the corpse in a black polythene bag and dumped it along Ndibe beach road, near the bush. I don't regret killing my baby because nobody was responsible for her upkeep."
The Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of SCID, Mrs. Augustina Ogbodo informed Sunday Sun the police recovered the corpse of the baby, and added that the suspect would be charged to court soon for the murder of the baby girl.
