Patrick Mathias wins MTN Songstar competition

Patrick Mathias (aka Password) has emerged as
winner of the just-concluded MTN Songstar
competition. He went home with a Porsche Cayman
car, a record deal with ace producer Don Jazzy, a
smartphone, six months data and a chance to
perform.
Three other winners were presented with brand new
Kia Cerato cars.
The General Manager, Consumer Marketing, Kola
Oyeyemi, said; " the concept is part of the culture of
MTN in building the entertainment industry in
Nigeria. MTN is adding value and developing the
entire industry so that both the artistes in the music
industry and the listeners benefit, which makes it a
win- win situation," he said.
Oyeyemi said the initiative was designed to develop
raw talents especially those who have not been able
to break through in music, noting that the
telecommunications giant, MTN, will create a
platform to discover hidden talents and bring them
into the spotlight.
The widely acclaimed digital music competition
started three months ago nationwide.
