Bayern Munich’s 53-Game Unbeaten Run RECORD has been ended by Augsburg

Bayern Munich's Bundesliga 53-match unbeaten run was halted at FC Augsburg on Saturday. The European champions who already have retained the Bundesliga shield in record time, failed to score in a league match for the first time since April 14 2012 against Mainz.
It's their first league defeat since October 2012 when they lost 2-1 at home to Bayer Leverkusen. Sascha Molders' goal in the 31st minute proved enough to hand Pep Guardiola's side a shock defeat at the SGL Arena.
With Wednesday's Champions League quarter final second leg against Manchester United ahead of the Bavarians' scale of preference, the Spanish coach left most of his key players out of the starting line up with Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg and Ylli Sallahi earning
their first league starts.
Mitchell Weiser also just 19, started at right-back. Bayern prepares for a busy week ahead with Borussia Dortmund's visit to the Allianz Arena set to follow their last 8 tie with the Premier League champions.
They are already without midfielder Thaigo Alcantara while Brazilian defender Dante will return for the Champions League tie against United in place of the suspended Javi Martinez.
Bastian Schweinsteiger will be missing out of
Wednesday's game, after picking up a red card in last week's game at Old Trafford. Bayern have not won any of their last three matches in all competition, starting with last weekend's 3-3 draw with Hoffenheim.
