Man Beats Wife To Death In Oyo State
A 47-year- old manidentified as Ismaila Alabi has been arrested by Oyo
State Police Command for allegedly beating his wife, Bashirat Alabi,
to death.
According to report, the deceased had left her husband's house after
the beatingforher mother's house at Apete area of Ibadan for treatment
at a hospital, where she died.
She was said to have grown boilsallover herbodywhich the doctors could
not find solution to and she was thereby rejected at thehospital.
After she was rejectedby thedoctors, she was said to have confided in
her mother that her husband used charm on her.
After confiding in her mother, she gave up the ghost.
However, her husband, Mr. Alabi denied the allegations.
While speakingwithnewsmen, Alabi said he hand no hand in his wife's death.
"I did not use anything to beat her. It has been about two years since
we fought, but this fight just came up and she left for her mother's
house at Apete. I was shocked when I heard she had died," he said.
