19-yr-old In Court For R*ping 80-yr-old Blind Woman In Lagos

A teenager, Avoseh Satingo, was yesterday arraigned before a Yaba chief magistrate's court in Lagos, over alleged r*pe of an 80-year-old blind woman.
The police had on March 24 charged the teenager with defiling an octogenarian on her bed.

Prosecutor, ASP Godwin Anyanwu, told the court that the accused, who resides at the Cele Church Bus Stop, Bilewu Oshoffa area, Agbovipe village, Badagry, r*ped the grandmother in her room.
He said Satingo committed the offence on February 17 at 1p.m.

"Satingo took advantage of the condition of the blind complainant and defiled her on her bed.

"He was apprehended by members of the community who sighted him coming out of his victim's room as she cried for help."
He said the offence contravened Sections 258 and 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
It, therefore, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody.
Magistrate Yewande Aje-Afunwa made this known following advice by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) – the court had in March adjourned the case pending the DPP's advice.
She said the DPP advised that a prima facie case had been established against 19-year-old Satingo.

Baby allegedly dies in church after dedication #photo

"This is about a couple who attends a church around the IPO axis in Lagos. The name of the Church is (name withheld) opposite the MTN mast in Baruwa around Ipaja area of Lagos State. The Pastor whose name is (name withheld) dedicated a baby on sunday 1st June, 2014 and the baby (pictured above) died right there in the church.
It was an unusual thing to have seen a pastor dedicating a baby without carrying the baby on his hand. What the Pastor did was to sprinkle oil and he prayed without even touching the baby. When someone who was invited by the couple, Godwin and Amaka Mark asked them why the pastor wasn't carrying the baby, they stated that it was a norm in that church for babies to be dedicated in that manner. Soon after the benediction, the Pastor disappeared from the church and when the parents of the dead baby realized that their child was no more breathing, they called the pastor on his mobile phone. Continue..
The pastor refused to come back to the church stating that he had already taken off his clothes. He was further told that the baby which he had just dedicated was dead and his response was, "it is well"!
The bereaved parents had to go and bury their dead child with the assistance of the invited guests.
The following day, the pastor sent some people to pay a condolence visit to the bereaved couple. The mother of the deceased child said that the pastor knows about the death of her child and when she expressed her displeasure over the Pastor's actions, the emissary went back to inform the pastor.
The pastor has threatened to sue Mrs Amaka Mark if she does not retract her statement within 7days.
Mr and Mrs Mark made it very clear to the pastor that they were ready for any legal tussle with him. Now the pastor has been pleading with the couple in order not to make it public.

Police Officer Attacks Governor Fayemi and killed 2 APC members In Ekiti

A team of Mobile Police [MOPOL] attacked a street rally on Sunday led by an APC Senator, Babafemi Ojudu, in Ado-Ekiti just a day after Jonathan campaigned in the state for Fayose. The street rally went on peacefully until the Mobile Police showed up and immediately unleashed a volley of tear-gas canisters into the crowd to scatter the peaceful rally.
As soon as he got the sad report, the governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, drove down to the scene of the attack to ascertain what happened but the rampaging policemen immediately attack him too.
The unfortunate attack on Governor Fayemi was carried out by the MOPOL Commander in Ekiti State, identified as Gabriel Michael Seleke from Bayelsa State...
The MOPOL men lead by Gabriel Michael also used live bullets that killed an APC member live at the scene. As at the time of reporting, some members of the governor's security detail and the state Commissioner for Integration, Niyi Afuye, have been arrested and taken away by the mobile police officer.
The Commissioner of Police and the Director General of the State Security Services later arrived the scene but they could't say much as it seem the MOPOL commander was carrying out order from the Presidency.

Men Should Learn How To Cook, It’s Not A Female Thing alone - Ope Tejuoso

The CEO of Muse Academy, Mrs. Ope Tejuoso, in an interview with Punch has said cooking is not for females alone and men should also learn how to cook. She says knowing how to cook is like knowing how to breathe.
Men should learn how to cook; cooking is not a feminine thing. The greatest chefs in all the big hotels around the world today are men. Men should also support the women. Even my sons cook. Cooking is not a skill to be learnt by women alone, everybody should learn how to do it because they all eat. You are in total control of what you put into your mouth and knowing how to cook is like knowing how to breathe.

President Goodluck Vows To Develop Ekiti When Fayose Wins As Governor

President Goodluck Jonathan has said he will ensure the development of Ekiti State if the people of the state vote in the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate, Mr. Ayo Fayose.
Jonathan spoke on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti after Fayose received the official flag from the national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu.
He said, ""I only came to Ekiti during Segun Oni PDP-led Government to commission projects. When you vote Fayose and the PDP returns to Ekiti again, I will join hands with him to develop this state."
Jonathan, who admitted that he had not visited the state in a long time because there were no projects to inaugurate, said he was impressed by the mammoth crowd that filled the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, the venue of the rally.
He said, "We are going to provide adequate security that would enhance one man, one vote. I am not in Ekiti today to convert you because by this crowd, you have shown that you are for the PDP.
"You have really shown clearly that you want change in Ekiti. You have shown that you want leadership that will improve your well-being, and level of education in Ekiti because education is key in this state. We will bring back the lost glory in the education sector."
The Chairman Board of Trustees of PDP, Chief Tony Anenih, who dismissed the All Progressives Congress as a contender for power, said the party was no match for the ruling party in Nigeria.
"We are not competing with APC because they have nothing to offer. We have come to offer you hard work, to offer you freedom, to offer you commitment and success," he said.
Vice-President Namadi Sambo who thanked the Ekiti people for trooping out to receive the President and PDP leaders also commended them for their support to Fayose.
He said, "I am aware of the problems of teachers, the moment he (Fayose) enters, the problem of teachers is solved. As you know, in this state there is problem of transportation, the very day he comes in it will be solved."
Fayose told the crowd, "When I come back, I will give you jobs and do local content. I left N10.4bn, I recapitalised. They have sold all these properties. They have taken away our wealth all in the name of being progressives. They are only retrogressing."

Girl Beaten And Gang Raped By Her Ex And His Friends Narrates her Story

A 19-year-old girl (names withheld) got more than she bargained for when she visited the wife of her ex-boyfriend called Kingsley, who delivered a newborn baby, recently. Unknown to the victim, she apparently walked into a trap set by an angry ex-boyfriend.
The agony of the ugly incident that followed later was not just that she was gang-raped , her sister molested and thoroughly beaten up, she later agreed to an amicable settlement just because of fear of another attack.
Crime Guardlearnt that the ex-boy friend is the son of a serving Chief Superintendent of Police,CSP, attached to a police unit in Jos, while his mother sells food at Area K command along Badagry expressway.
Narrating the incident ,the victim said: "On that day I went there at Ketu in Ijanikin to visit my ex-boy friend Kingsley, whose wife had just had a baby. When I got there, I met him outside, I asked him of his wife, he said she was inside with the new born baby. So, I went inside to see her. When I got into thehouse, the wife and the baby were not inside but I met two other guys.
"I decided to go out but the door was locked, I asked Kingsley to please open the door so that I could go since the wife was not inside.
His friends said I would not except I brought my younger sister. Then, I asked what for, they said my sister offended them at a party they attended recently. They said she denied them at the party which led to one of them been beaten by other guests at the party. They said they have been looking for my sister, that I should call her.
"I told them she just lost her phones so there was no way I could contact her. Then, they brought out their knives and axes and asked me to pull off my clothes, and that if I don't take my clothes off, they would start cutting me little by little and then I will die a slow and painful death. I started pleading with them not to hurt me. But they refused and continued to threaten me.
"When it became clear that they would harm me if I didn't yield to their request, I started pulling my clothes. After that, Kingsley was the first one that raped me while his friends used their phones to record it. When he was through, the secondone calledIfeanyiaka Fabulous and the third oneAsaly, took turns to rape me. After they finished, they asked me to wear my clothes, which I quickly did. They gave me my phone which they sized initially to call my mum, to enable me reach my sister which I did. They made sure the phone was on speaker so that they could hear the conversation between my mum and I.
"Unfortunately, when I called, she said she was far from home where my sister was but promised to call back as soon as she got home. I told her it was urgent that I speak with my sister and she said she would be in the house within the next two hours. This was at about 12 noon. So, while I was waiting for my mum to call, two other friends of Kingsley came to the house and also raped me. When it was 2pm, they put their knives into a lit stove threatening to use it on my body if my mum did not call back.
"I had to call my mum who said she was almost in the house. When she got to the house, she called me and I told my sister to come to the junction that leads to Kingsley's house because I didn't want her to come to the house so that they won't rape her too.
When she got to the junction, she called me, I pleaded with them to allow me go to the junction to get my sister, that if they went to the junction without me, there was no way my sister would agree to come with them.
Initially, they refused, but later, they agreed and instructed Kingsley and Asale to go with me to the bus stop. "When I got to the junction, because my eyes were very, very red and my face swollen, my sister knew something was fishy, she asked me what happened, I told her nothing that I have been sleeping. And she said that is a big lie that even when I wake from sleep, my face is never swollen.
When she insisted, I told her everything in my dialect so that they won't understand what I was telling them. But one of them felt I was explaining what happened to my sister, he called the other three who were in the house to come, that I had finished explaining to them.
"When I saw the other guys coming, I collected money from my sister and pretended that I wanted to buy water from a nearby shop, when I got there, I told the woman who owns the shop what happened but she said they won't be able to attack us outside in the open. While I was there, they started slapping and hitting my younger sister. I went there and was pleading with them to stop beating her.
They said I should keep calm, if I didn't, they would deal with me also. So, I did. The attack drew the attention of commercial tricycle riders who were at the bus stop, they came to rescue us but were sent away after they told them it was boyfriend and girlfriend issue. I told them it was not true. "Luckily, for us, one of our neighbours, a soldier who lives in the same compound saw how they were beating us, he alighted from the tricycle to find out why they were attacking my sister.
I narrated what happened to him. After, he was able to rescue my sister from them, they attacked him, when he tried to call his fellow soldiers for help via his phone, they snatched it from him. It was while they were attacking the soldier that I escaped to a relative's house nearby to call my mum. My sister also escaped after that.
When I got home, I explained what happened to my mum who took me to the police station to report the case and subsequently, Kingsley and two others were arrested while others fled. Giving an insight into her relationship with Kingsley, the victim said, "Something happened between both of us while we were dating; I got pregnant only for me to discover that a lady was already seven months pregnant for him. So, I had to get rid of my pregnancy because there was no way I was ready to become a second wife.
A close family friend who pleaded anonymity also toldCrime Guardthat the case was settled amicably later after both families met with the police.
The victim, however, said they agreed to settlement out of court because of fear. "After we reported the case to the police, three of the suspects were immediately arrested in order to retrieve the video recording of the barbaric act but no video was found in their phones.
The reason the family resorted to settlement was because we didn't want our lives to be at risk. This guy and his group are cultists and there is every possibility that they might attack us again if the suspects prosecuted.

Soldiers Stop Newspaper Circulation

Armed soldiers yesterday unleashed their might on newspapers, disrupting their distribution, confiscating the newspapers and consequently stopping their sales in many parts of the country, saying their action was for security reasons.
Reports have earlier quoted the military as saying the media should stop coverage of attacks by Islamist sect Boko Haram, as part of their strategy to end insurgency in the country, although the army denied that was the purpose of the newspapers confiscation.
The distribution vans conveying newspapers to various parts of the country were so delayed at military check-points that distribution of the papers failed. In some cases, the vehicles were detained till evening time, Vanguard reports.
In a statement signed by its Editor-in-Chief and General Manager, Gbenga Adefaye, Vanguard deplored "the interference with its business and professional duties early this morning (yesterday) by armed soldiers who prevented the legitimate sale and dissemination of information.
"We think it was an unconstitutional and illegal act, not expected in a civil and democratic regime. We will like to advise all aggrieved persons to abide by democratic tenets and seek redress in court for any perceived infraction of the law."
The Nation newspaper also reacted in a statement signed by its Managing Editor, Lekan Otusobunrin, saying that "as early as 3:10 am on Friday, June 5, (yesterday) drivers of our distribution vans began filing in reports of arrest and seizures of our vehicles and consignment of newspapers for the day by soldiers across the country.
"The soldiers who stormed our offices arrested the drivers after searching the vehicles and consignment. Although, nothing incriminating was found in any of the vans searched, our vehicles and drivers were detained.
"It is necessary to point out that the seizure of Friday's edition of The Nation and Sporting Life has caused the company huge losses. The soldiers prevented us from carrying out our legitimate business. We call on the military authority to release unconditionally all our vehicles and newspaper parcels still in their custody."
The Leadership newspaper was also notably affected across the country.
Meanwhile, the defence headquarters had in a statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, DDI, Major General Chris Olukolade gave reasons for confiscating the newspapers: "This followed intelligence report indicating movement of materials with grave security implications across the country using the channel of newsprint related consignments."
"The Defence Headquarters wishes to clarify that the exercise has nothing to do with the content or operation of the media organisations or their personnel as is being wrongly imputed by a section of the press.
"The military appreciates and indeed respects the role of the media as an indispensable partner in the ongoing counter-insurgency operation and the overall advancement of our country's democratic credentials. As such, the military will not deliberately and without cause, infringe on the freedom of the press.
"The general public and the affected media organisations in particular are assured that the exercise was a routine security action and should not be misconstrued for any other motive," the military statement said.

TB Joshua is The Only Pastor Acting Like Jesus –--- Prophet Soul E

Soul E is not just a musician again, he is now a prophet and dishing out prophecies. He said he is not surprised that many are finding it hard to believe his prophecies, saying many did not believe Jesus Christ too. In this chat with Nigeria Films, SoulE speaks on very interesting issues. Read what he said below:

Are you in support of ministers of God with private jets?

My bro, prosperity is of God, but I will be the last to talk against any man of God. I think people should just serve God and forget about people's wealth. There is one man of God I love with all of my heart and I can say he is the only person I see that behaves like Jesus even if so many talk against him. I love him; I am not a member of his church but I love him. His name is T B Joshua.

You once gave out a prophesy that before the end of 2015, two governors will die, is it really necessary for them to die or better to change their ways?

(Laughs). I gave it last year and the Kaduna State Governor died few weeks after. I just obey the voice ofGod whether people like it or not. I do what He says, not what people want to hear. One thing is sure, I don't speak when God has not spoken.

What do you think is the reason people don't believe your prophesies?

Well to answer your question, I am Prophet Emmanuel Ifechukwude people know me as prophet Soul E. I am not called for everyone, I am call to nations not just Nigeria. When my master Jesus was on earth, people did not believe him and with all he did, they still killed him. So, it's expected that some people will not believe. It does not bother me and it does not change the fact that God is using me for those that believe.

Well-spoken prophet. Now, with all your revelations, why is it that some of it are yet to come to pass eg, the WizKid and Davido's case?

When God speaks through his prophet, it's a warning to those who are involved. Like I said about the two guys and we have been praying for the protection of God over their lives. So, we are happy that they are strong and still doing what they love doing, I will not be happy if we lose another act again, so we are praying.

You said you do not know Davido and WizKid, but as an artiste, you still have the opportunity of meeting fellow colleagues in the industry. So why not bring them closer to advise them?

I am not an artiste, I am a minister the gospel, I am a Prophet, not the Soul E you guys used to know. So mine is to pass the word to whosoever God sent me to. Yes, I don't know them one on one; we are not friends neither are we close. So, I have passed the message. He that has an ear will hear and get closer to God.

You claimed not to be an artiste, but you still sing and your latest song 'Thank God' is still making waves

Yes, I sing but I am not an artist, I am a minister. I don't do music because I want to be known, I do music because I want to minister to lives and bring them back to God. That's what makes me different.

Enlighten us more, do you own a personal ministry, or you worship in another church?

I don't run a church for now, I do ministry except the Lord asks me to, but for now, I do programs here and there. We storm cities, nations, doing prophetic healings and meetings. The name of my ministry is called 'The Kingdom Builders Assembly.' The Lord gave me a mandate to raise men and women for him. So, we build and raise men for the kingdom.

What about the collection of tithes, is it a right thing or an obligation?

Spiritual things are not for babies'; paying of tithes is biblical and if you want to be great in life, you will obey that instruction.

As a prophet of God, why haven't you received the a revelation about the Chibok girls?

I don't follow the crowd, why should I say what God has not told me? If he tells me anything concerning the girls, I will tell it to the world.

PDP Is Selfish, Greedy – says Governor Rauf Aregbesola

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State has stated his belief in the fact that leadership carries with it responsibility.
He made this known on Tuesday at St. John's Primary School, Ikire, Isokan-Ayedaade-Irewole Federal Constituency, during his re-election campaign.
The governor told the people to expect more dividends of democracy than his first term if given their mandate to continue in office for another four years.
He listed projects executed by his administration in the constituency as the sinking of 88 boreholes; distribution of 2,299Opon Imo(tablet of knowledge) to secondary schools; beatification of Asejire to Gbogan on the Ibadan-Ife expressway; building of five model schools; and construction of 60km roads, among others.
He said: "We believe power is responsibility, but the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) believes that power has no responsibility. That is the difference between the two of us. Our party rules with the aim of running a government that is beneficial to the people. We have the people's welfare at heart, but the PDP is selfish, greedy and avaricious. Therefore we do not resemble them. PDP was here for close to eight years; did it think ambulances were needed on our roads?"
The first civilian governor of Osun State, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who recently defected from PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, urged the people to re-elect Aregbesola so that he can "continue transforming" the state.
He said Aregbesola's "excellent performance" in the last three-and-a-half years qualify him for another four years.
Adeleke, who was eyeing the PDP governorship ticket before it was won by Senator Iyiola Omisore, said Omisore lacked the capacity to lead the state because "he is bereft of ideas".
He said: "I urge you to use your votes to bring back Aregbesola because he has worked tremendously for the state's development. You should make sure we get 80 per cent of the votes. If we are able to do this, we will be killing an ant with a sledge hammer. Now that Omisore has made Adejare Bello his deputy, I will make sure he does not win his ward in Ede North".
When the campaign berthed at the palace of the Akire of Ikire, Oba Olatunde Falabi, the monarch said the people do not need a soothsayer to tell them that the APC administration has brought huge development to the state.
He said: "We can see the development with our eyes. We can see the transformation of the state all around us. In fact, you have been doing the job as if your life depends on it. With this achievement, your second term is guaranteed".
Many leaders in the constituency, including Hon. Ayo Omidiran, lauded the performance of the Aregbesola administration.

Notorious Kidnap Gang That Killed Ex Deputy Gov Anambra State Have Been Caught! (Photo)

The Lagos State Police Command, yesterday, paraded three suspected members of a notorious kidnap gang that killed former commissioner/ Ex Deputy Gov of Anambra State, Dr. Chudi Nwike.
Nwike was kidnapped on March 19, 2013 and a N30 million ransom was demanded by his abductors who reportedly murdered him after taking N5 million as ransom.
Parading the suspects alongside four others, among whom were three Ibadan‑based alleged hired assassins, who confessed to have been given N140,000 as advance payment to eliminate a businessman in Lagos, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, said the arrest of the kidnap suspects followed the arrest of one Monday Odieto in Benin, Edo State, by the Divisional Police Officer in‑charge of Ikoyi, Aisha Haruna.
How they were nabbed
Manko explained that during interrogation, Odieto confessed to belong to a 30‑man kidnap gang operating in the South‑South and South‑East axis of the country and further confessed to have been involved in the kidnap of a Supreme Court judge's wife, Justice Rhodes-Vivour, last year along the Lagos/Benin expressway.
His confessional statement, according to Manko, led to a manhunt for those indicted. He said the pursuit led to the arrest of Godspower Ovwigho, 31, and Stanley Efetobor, 29. He said they were arrested by operatives of the Special Anti‑ Robbery Sqaud.
Manko said: "After a long manhunt, one Godspower Ovwigho, was tracked and arrested at Ikorodu, Lagos State on April 23. He was identified by Monday Odieto as being a top ranking member of the gang. On April 24, one Stanley Efetobor, who is also a gang member, was also arrested by SARS."
How suspects ambushed prisons officials , freed leader
During interrogation, the suspects, according to Manko, confessed to be among those who ambushed some prison officials in Okere, Warri, Delta State while their leader, simply identified as Rufus was being taken to court in March last year. Some prison officials were reportedly killed in the attack.
According to him, "Efetobor confessed to be a member of the gang that rescued one of their former gang leaders, one Rufus, at Okere raid in Warri, Delta State.
"He confessed that the raid was carried out when some prisons officials were taking him to court from prison yard in March, last year. The suspects confessed that several prisons officers lost their lives in that operation.
"He also confessed that their gang kidnapped the wife and daughter of Justice Rhodes-Vivour. The same gang kidnapped former Anambra Ex Deputy Gov and demanded N30 million as ransom. Although they got N5 million from the family, they still killed the man and told the wife to use the remaining N25 million to bury her husband. But we are still continuing with our investigations."
Why we killed formerdep gov— Suspect
Godspower Ovwigho, 27, told a bewildered crowd that his gang killed the former deputy governor because his wife was heady.
According to him, "we killed the commissioner because his wife tried to prove difficult. We demanded N30 million but they gave us only N5 million. After the payment, they promised to give us more but did not. It was Rufus that shot him dead when the wife refused to pay more. Rufus is our leader.
"We held him hostage in a three-bedroom flat in Kokori town, in Delta State. When the negotiators brought the money and Rufus discovered it was N5 million, he drove all of them away. He, thereafter, charged into the bedroom where the deputy governor was and told him that his wife was daring us.
"He called the victim's wife on the phone and asked why the money was slashed. She told him that was all they were able to gather. Out of anger, he shot the former deputy governor four times and called his wife again on the phone and told her to use the balance to organise his burial."
I got N40,000 outof the N5m-Another suspect
His alleged partner in crime, Stanley Efetobor, 29, lamented that his share of the N5 million was only N40,000.
Meanwhile, the three suspected hired assassins who left Ibadan for Lagos, to snuff life out of a businessman, one Victor Adelakun, disclosed that they were promised N140,000 after executing the job.
The suspects, according to Manko, were arrested in a night club on Allen Avenue by operatives of SARS on May 10, 2014 while strategising on how to get their target.
But the trio of Ibrahim Lawal (27), Emmanuel Adewale (25 ) and Yomi Olarewaju (25) claimed they intended kidnapping their victim.
Although in an earlier interrogation, they reportedly told the operatives that their mission was to assassinate their victim. But Ibrahim stated yesterday:
"We wanted to kidnap him. That was the instruction given to us. We were promised N300,000 if the deal succeeded. We were given N100,000 as advance fee
"We were just at the club waiting for the victim because we were told he usually drinkthere. While we were discussing how to get him, we did not know how the Police got wind of our mission and apprehended us."

Man 65 Rapes And Impregnates His 17 Year Old Teenage Daughter

Samuel Uba, a 65-year-old man in Kalabari Beach, Oguta Local Government Area, Imo State, who is alleged to have committed an abominable act by repeatedly raping his 17-year-old daughter, Hannah Uba and impregnating her in theprocess.
The poor teenager is now saddled with a five-month-old pregnancy.
It was the timely intervention of the police that prevented irate youths in the community from lynching him when they got wind of the abominable act after the violated and traumatized teenager finally summoned the courage to report the matter to a neighbour, who in turn informed the leader of the youths.
Recounting the horrific experience she passed through, Hannah, a JSS 3 student of St. Michael Secondary School Obodo Oguta said: "I have been living in bondage. My father started having sex with me after his two wives died. He would always beat me before having sex with me. I told him to remarry but he refused. Every night he would come and rape me. Any day I refused to have sex with my father, he would beat me and then rape me. He always came when the other children were asleep.
It was the fear of my father's beating that made me not to tell anybody. But one day, I decided to confess to my neighbour. It was the neighbour who discovered that I was five months pregnant. Immediately the news spread, youths in the community gathered to kill my father, but policemen rescued him."
Pastor Donatus Olisa, General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Church, where the suspect and his daughter worship said he learnt about Hannah's predicament from other members of the church.
Shocked to the marrow, Pastor Olisa told Sunday Sun: "The father of the girl, Samuel and his daughter attend my church every Sunday. Some people told me that Papa Samuel was sleeping with his daughter; they said the pregnancy that resulted from it had reached five months. I was deeply shocked. The following morning I went to the house of Papa Samuel and he confessed that he impregnated the daughter. He acknowledged raping her often."
Hannah's trouble started in 2012 after her father's second wife died. As the old man, who hails from Ibiasoegbe in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, told Sunday Sun in an interview, he used to have sex with his second wife even when she was sick and on admission at the hospital.
He said: "I had two wives. My first wife died in 2011 while the second died in 2012. I have nine children, two girls and seven boys. When my second wife was on admission in the hospital, I used to have sex with her right in the hospital. But when she died I started sleeping with my daughter when the other children were asleep. I began having sex with my daughter because I didn't want to be sleeping around with other women."
Ever since the story broke, Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Abdulmajid Ali disclosed that the Command has made tireless efforts to conduct proper investigation into the case, which he described as an abomination. He further disclosed that youths in the area were so incensed that they wanted to lynch the alleged culprit, but noted that the quick intervention of the Divisional Police Officer in-charge of Oguta Police Division, Supol Ikembuchukwu Abugu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police and his men saved the day and rescued the suspect from the hands of the youths. Samuel was immediately taken into custody on April 30, 2014, pending the conclusion of investigations.
Although Samuel has appealed to his community for forgiveness, blaming the devil for the abominable act, the Imo State Police Commissioner, however, assured that he would be charged to court to answer appropriate charges for rape and impregnating a legal minor.

Nigerians Own Most Houses On London’s Most Expensive Street.... (Must Read)

"About 70 per cent of the most expensive buildings in London are owned by Nigerians, the Chairman, New Nation, an empowerment-oriented group, Mr. Charles Dukwe, has said.
He added that citizens of the United Kingdom avoided buying houses in the area due to their expensive prices.
Dukwe lamented that some Nigerians were investing funds from the country in Europe and other Western countries, leaving the people at home jobless.
He observed that Nigeria was going through a lot of challenges as a result of corruption that had brought rot to the system. He, therefore, called on Nigerians to embrace compassion and show love to each other.
Dukwe said, "There is a street in London; it is called Edgerton Crescent. Edgerton Crescent is the most expensive street in the world. Houses there are worth £3m to £4m.
"British celebrities that have money don't buy houses on that street. They will tell you it is too expensive. But 70 per cent of the houses there are owned by Nigerians.
"The thing that is missing in Nigeria is compassion. We want to use compassion as a value and drive it through people so that people can help each other in the society. Our aim is to make compassion a core value in the society."
He noted that the 'Kill the Killers Initiative' was established to attack the major diseases that cut short the lives of people in Nigeria and across Africa.
According to him, diabetes and high blood pressure form over 60 per cent of the cause of deaths among adults in Nigeria, just as malaria forms 70 per cent of the deaths among children in the country.
"In Nigeria and across Africa, we have failed immeasurably by paying little or no attention to principal diseases that cut the lives of our people short and thus leaving our life expectancy to numbers way below all the advanced nations," ..
