Rapist Caught In University Of Ilorin’s Girls’ Hostel (photos)

An alleged rapist was reportedly caught earlier today by Hostel security in Kam Abioye (private) hostel, University of Ilorin.

According to a source (name with held) in the hostel who narrated how the incident occurred to TOONAIJ.COM'S representative, stated.

"He entered their room of two at 11:30 pm and told the girls that he wants to "Bleep" them."

"So one of the girls told him that he should wait that they want to turn on the light so that they can see his face"

"Normally our light switch is beside the door so immediately the girl got to the door she opened it, ran out and started screaming for help"

"It was her voice that alerted the Gallant security men in the hostel and other resident students"

"So the guy ran out and tried to escape but the security men ran after him and later caught up with him"

"Then they dragged him back to the hostel and he was beaten to a pulp and bleeding profusely"

When asked if the female students beat him too, she said;

"Yes, Everybody beat him. Some even poured pepper on him"

On claims that he is a student of LAUTECH. She said;

"Yes, He claimed to be a student of LAUTECH but I don't think he's even a student"

He was taken to the security unit and is currently being interrogated.

Intense Investigations are still being carried out to find out his true identity.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a security guard, Haruna Abubakar, in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, for allegedly killing his friend.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Abubakar and the victim, a herdsman, whose name had yet to be ascertained, worked on a farm in the area.

It was gathered that Abubakar and the victim were on the farm on Saturday when a disagreement ensued between them. The altercation was said to have led to a scuffle, during which the 28-year-old suspect hacked the herdsman to death.

Our correspondent learnt that Abubakar dismembered the deceased, packed the parts in a sack and dumped them in a bush.

A source, who has knowledge of the incident, said the deceased's brother, identified as Adamu, reported a case of missing person to the police when the victim did not return home from the farm on the day.

"A police team went to the farm and some persons provided useful information, which indicted the suspect. He was arrested based on the tip-off and he actually confessed to killing his friend," the source added.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Office, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident.

She said the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, had directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for investigation and prosecution.

She said, "The command, upon discreet investigation and intelligence gathering, arrested the suspect. The victim, aged 27, was his friend and co-worker.

"They had an altercation which resulted in a physical fight and in the process, the suspect attacked the deceased with a dagger, cut him to pieces and dumped him in the bush.

"The clue gathered by the police led to the arrest of the suspect who later confessed to the crime and led operatives to the scene where the body parts were recovered."

Talented Nigerian music export and Star Boy Music Worldwide act, Wizkid, has been tagged in the prestigious Grammy Awards nominees list for his role in Drake's hit single "One Dance".

The track, which also features Kyla, is off Drake's award winning album "Views" which stood out as one of the best albums released in 2016.

Drake's album, in which Wizkid appeared, made the highly coveted "Album of the year" category, competing against other award winning artistes like Adele, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber.

OMG Girl Dies During Fight With her Boyfriend (Photos)

A Nigerian girl identified as Okonikhere Joy -reportedly died on Saturday night during a quarrel with her boyfriend. According to Facebook user; May Ebute who shared the sad news -neighbours woke up to find the lady's dead body and her boyfriend missing. He was apprehended yesterday and he said, during the scuffle, he just put his hands around her neck to scare her and she stopped breathing.

So Okonikhere joy died last night during a scuffle with her boyfriend. Neighbours woke up to find her dead body and her boyfriend missing. He was apprehended earlier today and he said, during the scuffle, he just put his hands around her neck to scare her and she stopped breathing. He said he didn't mean to kill her. How can just putting your hands around someone's neck kill them if not that the person was strangled?

Well she's dead now and no amount of ' l didn't mean to kill her' will bring her back.

I just spoke with her brother and he confirmed the news.The murderer is presently cooling off in a police cell. I wish l could find the words to express the anger l'm feeling right now. May the soul of this lady rest in peace.
