Murder: Hit-and-run Driver Kills Bride to be In Lagos 10 Days To Her Wedding (Photos)

The death has been announced of Osayi Omoigui, a young lady who was set to wed on 10th January 2015 having had her engagement on 19th August 2014. Osayi was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Monday, 29th December 2014 and she is said to have died instantly. It's a very sad incident for her husband-to-be, family members and friends who are mourning the demise of a young loving soul. Already, friends had bought off the aso-ebi for the wedding till the news of her death broke.

16Yr Old Girl Gives Birth to Triplets in Delta State (photos)

A 16-year-old girl, Helen Ezeh, in Delta State has given birth to triplets.
she delivered the babies in Owhelogbo community, in the Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.
The children were said to have been born prematurely, after just seven months of pregnancy.
However, both the mother of the children and the newborns are doing well.
The father of the children, John Eyavoro has also reportedly given thanks to God for the miraculous birth.

The Ebonyi State Police Command yesterday Sunday Dec. 28th confirmed the arrest of a 45yr old man named Nwofu Igbo, who allegedly killed his son in Nwofe Community in Izzi LGA.
Government Area of the state. The Police Public Relations officer (PPRO) of the command, ASP Chris Anyanwu, said in Abakaliki that the matter was being investigated by the police.
"The police is prepared to get to the root of the problem that led to the killing of the boy,'' Anyanwu said. He said that the suspect had confessed to the killing of his 16-year-old son who returned from Lagos to celebrate the Christmas with his family members.
An eyewitness told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on condition of anonymity in Abakaliki that Igbo killed the son due to a squabble between him (Igbo) and the deceased's mother. "The suspect has, after a quarrel with his wife (mother of the deceased), banished her for reasons best known to him.

Gov Fayose Gives Landlords In Ekiti 2 Months Ultimatum To Provide Toilet Facilities.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose has read riot act to landlords and landladies whose houses are without toilets in any part of the state to make amends or face the consequences.
The governor spoke while featuring on his monthly Radio and Television programme tagged "Meet your Governor" in Ado-Ekiti yesterday. He issued a two months ultimatum to the defaulters to provide the facility in their homes or face prosecution. The ultimatum will elapse on February 2015
"If by the end of February 2015, we still have landlords who build or live in houses without considering toilet facilities, such landlords will be apprehended and be made to face prosecution under the state environmental law.
"I also want to add that tenants who rent such faulty houses stand the risk of facing similar penalty with their landlords", Fayose declared.

The above bible passage states that Elizabeth got pregnant (conceived) on the second month of the year, which is FEBUARY. And for five months, she hid the pregnancy; Five months from february is JUNE.
vs. 26: "in the SIXTH MONTH, the angel Gabriel was sent from God…"
This sixth month stated in the passage is still June, in which is the fifth month Elizabeth hid her pregnancy, but God sent an angel to Mary (vs. 27) and revealed to her of Elizabeth's hidden pregnancy (vs. 36).
The angel also told Mary that she will concieve (vs. 31).
After that, Mary went to stay with Elizabeth (vs 39-40)
vs 56: "and Mary remained with her about THREE MONTHS, and returned to her home"
This states clearly that On the ninth month which when Elizabeth should give birth was October (9 months from Febuary is October)
vs 59-60 states that John was born & circumsied on the 8th of october.
Futhermore bible researchs shows that John the baptist was 3months older than Jesus Christ; (vs. 26: mary returned home because her own pregenacy was due)

Baby falls off mother’s back, gets crushed by a truck in Delta State

A heavy duty truck, conveying crates of soft drinks, yesterday, at the Okorodafe Roundabout in Ughelli, Delta State, crushed a four-month-old baby girl who had fallen off the back of her mother traveling on a commercial motorcycle.
Eyewitnesses told Vanguard that the mother of the baby, was struggling to adjust the wrapper with which she strapped the baby to her back, while the motorcycle was in motion. In the process, the baby fell on the middle of the road and was immediately crushed by the truck, which was directly behind the Okada.
Officials of Ughelli Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, have since cleared the remains of the dead baby off the road.

Breaking News: ISIS in Nigeria to Recruit Fighters - FG

The Federal Government has raised alarm over the presence of some agents of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISIS, in Nigeria to recruit more fighters into their fold. The National Coordinator, National Information Centre and Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mike Omeri made this known in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, David Akoji yesterday Dec. 23.
Omeri said that intelligence information gathered by Security officials show that three South African nationals disguising as humanitarian workers are currently in the country to facilitate the recruitment of some Nigerians into the islamic terror group. He appealed to Nigerians to be vigilant and report humanitarian workers with suspicious motives
"Nigerians are known the world over to be selfless, hospitable and humanitarian. We believe in the brotherhood of all mankind and no one should be allowed to take advantage of these virtues or turn them into vices. Nigerians are therefore advised to report to security agencies without hesitation, any group or non-governmental agency whose overt or covert activities are suspicious or have tendencies to jeopardise the innocence of our youths and the security of our people wherever they are in the world," he said.

"You can’t arrest us" Omirin tells Governor Ayo Fayose

THE embattled Speaker of the Ekiti State House of
Assembly, Dr. Adewale Omirin, has reacted to the alleged directive by Governor Ayodele Fayose, asking the Commissioner of Police to arrest the 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers in the state.

Omirin, in a statement by his Special Adviser on
Media, Wole Olujobi, said that the APC lawmakers
acted within the law to conduct their sitting in a
public building in the state capital last Friday.
He said, "The governor or the police cannot arrest us for performing our constitutional duty. Section
101 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria makes it explicit that the House can regulate its activities, including conducting its
sittings in public buildings in the state capital.
"The Supreme Court had also ruled that the House can conduct its sittings in public places in the state capital if conditions exist that endanger
members in the conduct of their sittings.
"Governor Fayose has kept armed thugs permanently in the House of Assembly to attack us. We can't put ourselves in harm's way, yet we
have a responsibility to our constituents to make laws for good governance. That is why we
followed the law to sit to consider issues on the ongoing constitutional amendment."
Omirin explained that the House had a
responsibility to respond to the National Assembly
demand to send Ekiti State contributions to the
constitutional amendment process.
"Ekiti State has just one House of Assembly. That
is why the National Assembly acknowledged the
receipt of our resolutions on the constitutional
amendment.
"If they are sure of their status, let them
approach the National Assembly or the judiciary
for recognition," he added.
Omirin said it was regrettable that Fayose had not
learnt from his past experience when he allegedly
instigated a constitutional crisis that led to the
declaration of the state of emergency and the
governor's impeachment in 2006.
He told the Ekiti CP, Taiwo Lakanu, not to allow
himself to be dragged into the political fray in the
state, warning that the governor would bear the
consequences if he caused conditions that could
threaten good governance in Ekiti.

OMG : Okada-man Beats Pregnant Woman To Coma In Lagos

A commercial motorcycle operator has beaten a seven- month pregnant woman to coma along the Lagos-Badagry expressway, near Oluti bus stop in Lagos.
Trouble started after the woman was said to have paid the unknown rider a stipulated amount of money to convey her from Iyana Iba to First Gate bus stop, Maza Maza.

According to an eyewitness, who identified herself simply as Mama Bola, the pregnant woman, Feyisara, when she regained consciousness in a private hospital, said the agreement was for the rider to move her to First Gate only for him to stop near Oluti, screaming at her to get off from the motorcycle.

The source said Feyisara disclosed that an argument ensued and the rider wanted to move the bike but she held his clothes tight, preventing him from escaping.
According to Mama Bola, "The pregnant woman, Feyisara said she had paid the okada rider the agreed amount only for him to lie that Alakija was the destination she told him. So, when they reached Alakija, he ordered the woman to get off but she refused insisting that she would get off at her destination. So, when the desperate rider wanted to escape and the woman stopped him, he attempted to remove her hands from his clothes but to no avail.

The man parked the machine and forcefully removed her hands.
"The woman said she had no choice than to go after his private part. An action which probably angered the man as he punched her in the neck and the woman fell on a stone and was rolling on the ground when sympathisers saw her and took her to a private hospital. She was bleeding".
Meanwhile, the Okadaman had zoomed off to an unknown destination. Police is on his trail.

Police arrest robbers at Redemption Camp (photos)

A 26-year-old man identified as Emmanuel Olowu who was recently arrested at the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God while trying to rob worshipers was paraded alongside other suspected armed robbers by the Ogun state Police command at the Force Head quarters in Abeokuta,yesterday December 18th.
Parading the suspects before newsmen, the state's Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said Emmanuel was apprehended with a toy gun, phones and money. Adejobi said the other suspects were arrested while carrying out robbery attacks in some towns in the state.

OMG : Human Parts Dealers Arrested In Ogun State

The Lagos state Police command have arrested two suspected human parts dealers identified as Dipo Olorunto and one Baba Isegun aka Asiwaju while trying to sell human parts over the weekend at Atan Ota area of Ogun State.
According to Daily Independent, 35 year old Dipo Olorunto who claims to be farmer and married with four children, said he was contacted by a friend of Baba Isegun to help him get a human skull which was to be used for the treatment of mentally ill patients. Dipo said he got the skull at Cotonou, Benin Republic for N12,500.
"Baba Isegun told me to bring a human skull for him to buy. He said he uses it to treat sicknesses such as madness. I work as a farmer in Atan Ota area. It was a friend who introduced me to Baba Isegun that I could help him get human parts. I have to go to Cotonou to buy the head. I wanted to sell it to him for N20, 000. But police arrested me before I got to him." he said
Confirming their arrested, the Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu said the suspects will soon be charged to court. He said that Baba Isegun took ill while in police custody and has been released on health grounds but will return to stand trial when he becomes medically fit.

NDLEA Destroys 400 Hectares of Indian Hemp Farm in Ekiti State!

The newly coded intelligence-led raid of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) across the South West and South South and North Central States of Ekiti, Edo, Delta and Kogi, has led to the arrest of a-36-year-old suspected drug baron, and operational head of a cannabis syndicate known as AKUNNUBAS, Uche Destiny Obi also known as The King Maker along with seven other members of the cartel including two truck drivers.
Cannabis weighing a total of 1,514,278kg with an estimated street value of 15.1 billion naira was also intercepted.
During the operation, Cannabis plantations were raided and destroyed at Ise Forest Reserve in Ise/Orun Local Government Area, Ode camp in Gboyin Local government Area both in Ekiti State and Utese Forest Reserve in Edo State. One hundred officers drawn from various State Commands participated in the operation that lasted fortwelve days.
Uche Destiny Obi is the Vice Chairman and operational head of the AKUNNUBAS, a group that specializes in cannabis cultivation and distribution. He is called the King Maker because of his overriding influence in determining appointment of otherExecutive members as well as execution of punishment on erring members and foes. The criminal group is believed to have a growing influence and operational stronghold in South West and South South States of the country.
NDLEA investigation reveals that the Akunnubas is responsible forover eighty percent (80%) of cannabis production in the country. The syndicate hires cheap labour including school age children to work at cannabis farms. They use motorcycles in conveying processed cannabis from the farms to a temporary covert warehouse from where trucks are later used in taking the drug forinter-State distribution.
Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade described the arrest of Uche Destiny Obi as a reward for painstaking investigation. Breaking News : Buhari Wins APC Presidential Primary Election

Former Head of State Buhari has reportedly beaten former VP Atiku Abubakar, current Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, current governor of Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, and the publisher of Leadership newspapers Sam Nda-Isaiah, to win the APC presidential Primary.

So he will be contesting against president Jonathan at the 2015 presidential election to be held in February 2015.
According to Sahara Reporters, he got about 5,000 votes while Atiku got 954 votes.

Justice F. O Ohwo of Delta State High Court, Warri, Delta State, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, convicted and sentenced Pastor Glory Okeoghene Abrefera and Reverend Vincent Okpogu to seven (7) years imprisonment each for stealing depositors' funds amounting to N32million ( Thirty- Two Million Naira only).
The two clergymen were nabbed after deceiving unsuspecting members of the public into investing in Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited, a wonder bank, and defrauded them of their hard-earned money.
While delivering judgment today, Justice Ohwo convicted the accused persons on all of the nine count charges preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.They were sentenced to seven years imprisonment on each count. The sentence is to run concurrently.
According to the judge, the convicts will serve the seven-year term at Okere Prisons in Warri, Delta State, after completing the ten years sentence they are currently serving for illegal banking.
It would be recalled that Abrefera and Okpogu were on January 7, 2013, convicted and sentenced to ten (10) years imprisonment by Justice I. N. Buba of the Federal High Court Asaba, on a 4-count charge, for operating a wonder bank called Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited.
According to the prosecutor, Mr. G. K. Latona, "the convicts are still answering to other charges at Otor-Udu High Court for related offences.
